Softball Recap: Shadow Creek Sets Scoring Season-High Against Sam Rayburn

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Shadow Creek). They were the clear victor by a 22-3 margin over the Sam Rayburn Texans on Saturday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Shadow Creek has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.3 runs over those games. Sam Rayburn is on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-14.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shadow Creek will host Alvin at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sam Rayburn, they will square off against Pearland at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. Sam Rayburn has given up an average of 11.9 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
