Iona Prep had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.4 runs) and they went ahead and made it ten on Saturday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 9-8 W against the Archbishop Spalding Cavaliers.

The team relied heavily on Julian Guzman, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Tran, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI and one double.

Iona Prep pushed their record up to 17-3-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Archbishop Spalding, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 21-10 record this season.
