Soccer Game Preview: Granite Bay vs. Rocklin

The Granite Bay Grizzlies will take on the Rocklin Thunder at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Granite Bay is headed into Thursday's following a draw, the team's first since December 12. They and Folsom finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous five contests, Rocklin brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. They came out on top against Oak Ridge by a score of 4-2 on Tuesday. Considering the Thunder's offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Rocklin's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2-1 and their overall record up to 5-2-2. Granite Bay's draw makes their record 1-2-2 this season.

Granite Bay came up short against Rocklin when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 2-0. Can Granite Bay avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
