Volleyball Recap: Mendez Takes Down Banning in a Playoff Battle

With a playoff win on the line, Mendez rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Banning Pilots. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in March.

Mendez is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 32-13-1 record this season. As for Banning, they moved to 24-8-2 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Coming up, Mendez will square off against Valley Academy of Arts & Sciences at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday. The Vipers will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Jaguars surely won't give up without a fight. Banning does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
