Seneca had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Mercer County on Saturday. The Fighting Irish were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Golden Eagles. The result was nothing new for the Fighting Irish, who have now won 23 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Seneca's victory bumped their record up to 31-1. As for Mercer County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 20-11 record this season.

Seneca does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mercer County, they will be playing at home against Orion at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
