Last Friday, Rosamond was just a hair shy of victory and fell 7-6 to Kern Valley. The match marked the Roadrunners' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

The losing side was boosted by Evans, who rushed for 108 yards on only 13 carries. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 100 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Boron). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Desert 75-0 at home. With that victory, the Bobcats brought their scoring average up to 31 points per game.

Jalen York had an outrageously good game as he threw for 214 yards and six touchdowns while completing 87.5% of his passes. Gartica helped York out on the ground, picking up 63 receiving yards and a touchdown, while also punching in a touchdown on the ground.

Boron didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Gavin Kinney, Santos Escobar, Moses Garcia, and Christian Morgan picked up one apiece.

Rosamond now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Boron, their win bumped their record up to an identical 3-4.

Rosamond couldn't quite finish off Boron in their previous meeting back in October of 2023 and fell 42-40.
