Baseball Game Preview: Foster Bulldogs vs. Sammamish RedHawks

Foster hasn't had much luck against Sammamish recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Bulldogs will head out to take on the RedHawks at 7:00 p.m. Foster has given up an average of 16.2 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Foster is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 13th straight game dating back to last season on Wednesday. They came up short against Cedarcrest, falling 22-0.

Meanwhile, Sammamish earned a 6-1 win over Highline on Wednesday. The RedHawks haven't had any issues with the Pirates recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Reid Baum was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Kolin Jaster was a standout: he got on base in three of his four plate appearances with four stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Lincoln Castillo, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run.

Sammamish's record is now 12-2. As for Foster, their loss dropped their record down to 0-12.
