Recap: Tri-Cities Bulldogs vs. Jackson Jaguars
The Tri-Cities Bulldogs''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They were the victim of a rough 37-13 defeat at the hands of Jackson. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Tri-Cities in their matchups with Jackson: they've now lost three in a row.
Jackson can attribute much of their success to Kenyon Gilliam, who rushed for 199 yards and a touchdown while picking up 10.0 yards per carry. Another player making a difference was Rashad Harp, who threw for 44 yards and two touchdowns.
Tri-Cities' defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 2-8. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 10.3 points per game. As for Jackson, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-5.
Tri-Cities does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Jackson will head out on the road to face off against Jefferson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Jefferson will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line.
