Basketball Recap: Seneca Takes a Loss

Seneca lost against Moore back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Seneca Red Hawks had to suffer through a 82-36 loss at the hands of the Moore Mustangs.

Seneca's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Janell Julue, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine rebounds. That's the most points Julue has posted since back in December of 2023. Arionna Tunstall was another key player, putting up six points and nine boards.

Even though they lost, Seneca smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards every time they've taken the court this season.

Seneca's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Moore, they pushed their record up to 10-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Seneca wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, an 86-7 loss against Sacred Heart on the 3rd. As for Moore, they have also already played their next contest, a 54-15 victory against Southern on the 4th.
