Baseball Recap: Columbia Blue Devils vs. Ballston Spa Scotties
Columbia extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 7-11 in the process. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Ballston Spa Scotties. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Blue Devils have suffered against the Scotties since May 12, 2021.
As for Ballston Spa, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 14-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games.
For Ballston Spa's part, Nick Commisso and Nate Hill did most of the damage at the plate: Commisso went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base, while Hill went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
