Soccer Game Preview: Centennial vs. Red Mountain

The Centennial Coyotes will head out on the road to square off against the Red Mountain Mountain Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Centennial is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.4 goals per game this season.

Centennial fought the good fight in their overtime match against Sunrise Mountain on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 6-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs. While losing is never fun, the Coyotes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona soccer rankings (they are ranked 83rd, while the Mustangs are ranked eighth).

Centennial hit Sunrise Mountain with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Tyrus Mckee-Gardner, Chase Zambrano, Edin Hamidovic, and Bryan Nguyen.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Red Mountain was forced to settle for a draw. They and Dobson finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw on Wednesday.

Centennial now has a losing record at 4-5-1. Red Mountain's draw makes their record 4-8-1 this season.
