Basketball Recap: Amphitheater Takes a Loss

Amphitheater lost against Sunnyside back in December of 2019 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The contest between the Amphitheater Panthers and the Sunnyside Blue Devils didn't end well, with the Amphitheater Panthers falling 75-56. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

It was another big night for Manuel Moreno, who went 13-for-23 on his way to 32 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals for Sunnyside. That makes it three consecutive games in which Moreno has scored at least a third of Sunnyside's points. Another player making a difference was Carlos Noriega, who went 6-for-8 en route to 15 points.

Amphitheater's defeat dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Sunnyside, their win ended an eight-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-18.

As of now, neither Amphitheater nor Sunnyside have any future games scheduled.
