North Ridgeville and Green squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but North Ridgeville had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 3-2. The Rangers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Jason Begalla was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched five innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Gannon Padgett was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double.

North Ridgeville's loss dropped their record down to 20-7. As for Green, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-12 record this season.
