Football Recap: West Park Comes Up Short at Home Against Whitney + How To Watch

West Park unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a 17-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Whitney Wildcats on Friday. Despite 113 more yards than the Wildcats, the Panthers couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

West Park's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaden Jackson, who threw for 217 yards and a pair of TDs, and also rushed for 67 yards. Madix Ryan-Newman was Jackson's top target, picking up 110 receiving yards and one score.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Park will welcome Vacaville at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Whitney, they will be playing at home against Woodcreek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
