Softball Recap: Ragsdale Has No Trouble Against Trinity

Ragsdale's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They blew past the Trinity Bulldogs 18-8. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Gracie Jet Cuthrell made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and six unearned) runs off eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-5.

In other batting news, Morgan Osborne was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Gracie Hitchcock, who scored three runs while going 2-for-5.

Ragsdale's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Trinity, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Coming up, Ragsdale will square off against Page at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Trinity, they will face off against Southwestern Randolph at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be Southwestern Randolph's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
