Basketball Recap: Vandegrift Takes a Loss

Vandegrift played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the Glenn Grizzlies and fell 68-40. While losing is never fun, the Vipers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 93rd, while the Grizzlies are ranked 21st).

Vandegrift's loss dropped their record down to 15-7. As for Glenn, the victory was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 22-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vandegrift will face off against Manor at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Glenn, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Copperas Cove at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
