            The California Grizzlies are taking a road trip to  take on the Liberty Lions  at 7:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the  contest red-hot, with California sitting on  four straight  wins and Liberty on 11.
On Tuesday, California beat Livermore 25-12. The Grizzlies pushed the score to  25-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Cowboys cut but never quite recovered from.

California can attribute much of their success to  Caeli AuYeung, who threw for 194 yards and three  touchdowns, and also punched in one rushing score. What's more,  AuYeung racked up 117  passer rating, the most she's  had since back in November of 2024.
 California didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as  Olivia Horton,  Carissa Rogers,  and  Mikayla Nielsen picked up one apiece.
 Heritage typically has all the answers at home, but  on Wednesday Liberty proved too difficult a challenge. They pulled ahead with  a  7-6 photo finish over the Patriots. The seven-point effort marked the Lions' lowest-scoring  matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.
 California's record is now 10-1. As for Liberty, their record now sits at 11-0.
 California came up short against Liberty when the teams last played  back in October of 2024, falling  36-30. Can the Grizzlies avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
