Recap: Wolcott Eagles vs. Seymour Wildcats
The Wolcott Eagles couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a serious blow against Seymour on Friday, falling 67-38. Wolcott lost against Seymour in their previous head to head back in February, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 63-54 score last time.
Among those leading the charge was Indrit Peraj, who scored 23 points. Jaquan Ellis was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Wolcott's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Seymour, their win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-0.
Wolcott will face off against St. Paul Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Seymour will be home for the holidays to greet Wilby at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
