Columbus East's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Carter Patterson, who went 9 for 14 en route to 27 points plus six rebounds, and Keaton Lawson, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Duncan, who went 5 for 8 en route to 14 points.

Columbus East was able to grind out a solid win over Trinity Lutheran when the teams last played back in December of 2023, winning 52-43.
