Soccer Recap: Forest Hills Central Comes Up Short

Forest Hills Central was the 1-0 winner over Catholic Central when they last played one another back in April, but their luck changed this time around. The Rangers fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Forest Hills Central came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 19th, while Catholic Central are ranked 92nd).

Forest Hills Central's loss dropped their record down to 10-3-4. As for Catholic Central, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-6-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Forest Hills Central will square off against East Grand Rapids at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Catholic Central, they will face off against Kent City on Wednesday. Catholic Central are facing Kent City at the right time seeing as Kent City are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
