Baseball Game Preview: High Tech CV Bruins vs. Foothills Christian Knights

The High Tech CV Bruins will head out to challenge the Foothills Christian Knights at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

High Tech CV's tournament run continued when they took on Bishop's on Saturday. High Tech CV lost 19-1 to Bishop's.

High Tech CV saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adrian Gallegos, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Foothills Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Sweetwater on Saturday, sneaking past 4-3.

Jack Morgan made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Morgan was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Trevor Cochrum, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI. Johannes Jansen Granillo was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.

Foothills Christian hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sweetwater struck out ten times.

High Tech CV's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Foothills Christian, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

High Tech CV came out on top in a nail-biter against Foothills Christian in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, sneaking past 5-4. Will High Tech CV repeat their success, or does Foothills Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
