Baseball Game Preview: Grant Lancers vs. Monroe Vikings

Grant is 2-8 against Monroe since March of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Lancers are taking a road trip to square off against the Vikings at 3:00 p.m.

Back in March, Grant came up short against Chavez and fell 7-2.

Fernando Padilla made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. That run marked the first that he has scored this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Monroe, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They put the hurt on Vaughn with a sharp 9-1 win on Wednesday. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the White Tigers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Grant's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Monroe, their win bumped their record up to 14-1.

Grant might still be hurting after the 9-1 loss they got from Monroe in their previous matchup back in February. Can the Lancers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
