Soccer Recap: Lee Comes Up Short

Lee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the West Brook Bruins, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, Lee can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 658th, while West Brook are ranked 221st).

Lee's loss dropped their record down to 6-14-1. As for West Brook, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Lee will square off against rival Beaumont United at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, West Brook is set to take on their familiar foe Sterling at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
