Baseball Preview: Summit Country Day Silver Knights vs. Norwood Indians
For the second straight game, Summit Country Day will face off against Norwood. The Silver Knights will challenge the Indians at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
Summit Country Day took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They never let Norwood get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory. The Silver Knights not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 11th (when they won 14-2).
Keller Minton made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over 4.2 innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Summit Country Day is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 7-8 otherwise. Minton was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024.
