Basketball Recap: Kennedy Catholic Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

There's no place like home for Kennedy Catholic, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 53-51 win over the Mt. Rainier Rams on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 59-47 back in January.

Despite the loss, Mt. Rainier still got an impressive performance from Mason Emil, who went 8 of 13 on his way to 19 points in addition to eight rebounds and five assists. Those five assists gave Emil a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jayden Dolce, who went 5 for 10 en route to 12 points.

Kennedy Catholic's victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-7. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.2 points per game. As for Mt. Rainier, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record this season.
