Football Recap: Carol City Comes Up Short

Carol City suffered their biggest loss since August 30, 2024 on Thursday. They were outmatched by the Norland Vikings and fell 42-13. The Chiefs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 21-0.

Despite the loss, Carol City still got an impressive performance from Santana Blount, who picked up 125 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. Blount's longest reception was for an incredible 85 yards.

Carol City didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jerryson Jean-Baptiste and Cartier Morrell. Another thorn in Norland's side was Dan Robinson Jr, who picked up 0.5 sacks and made 12 total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Carol City's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Norland, the win also got them back to even at 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carol City will head out to face off against Northwestern at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Norland, they will venture away from home to square off against South Dade at 7:30 p.m. on September 5.
