Dover came tearing into Friday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Atkins Red Devils. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Pirates also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Dover's win bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Atkins, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dover will head out to take on Bigelow at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Atkins, they will venture away from home to face off against Maumelle Charter at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
