Softball Recap: Williamson Takes a Loss

Williamson managed to slip by Newark the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Marauders lost 16-1 to the Reds on Wednesday. The Marauders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Williamson saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Olivia Bearce, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Williamson's loss dropped their record down to 1-11-1. As for Newark, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Williamson will venture away from home to challenge Gananda Central at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Newark, they will head out to take on Mynderse Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Reds' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Blue Devils have averaged an impressive 13.9 runs per game this season.
