After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last four matchups, Southern Guilford finally came back down to earth on Friday. They fell just short of the Rockingham County Cougars by a score of 4-2. The Storm haven't had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Kenly Brown spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on eight hits.

At the plate, Madison Goins made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one double.
