Volleyball Recap: Lakeview Centennial Takes a Loss

Lakeview Centennial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Wylie Pirates, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

The final score came out to 25-7, 25-7, 25-15.

Wylie's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jolene Bao led the charge by getting 12 digs and two assists. Another player making a difference was Livian Nesbit, who had five digs and three aces.

Lakeview Centennial's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Wylie, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-12.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Lakeview Centennial is set to face off against their familiar foe South Garland at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Wylie will square off against rival Naaman Forest at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
