Basketball Recap: Rockvale Takes a Loss

If Rockvale was riding high fresh off their 83-59 takedown of Oakland last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Rockvale took a 59-44 bruising from the Siegel Stars on Tuesday. The game marked Rockvale's lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Rockvale lost, don't look at Wyatt Gilleland. Despite the final result, he posted eight points and five rebounds. Malachi Long was another key player, putting up ten points and five boards.

Even though they lost, Rockvale smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in November of 2023.

Rockvale's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Siegel, the win got them back to even at 9-9.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Blackman the next time they take the court. Rockvale will head out to face Blackman at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Siegel will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
