Fruitdale's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Southern Choctaw, their win bumped their record up to 9-2.

Everything came up roses for Southern Choctaw against Fruitdale in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 66-23 victory. In that matchup, Southern Choctaw amassed a halftime lead of 38-14, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
