Liberty Christian has gone  a perfect 10-0 against Rustburg recently and they'll look to pad the win column further  on Friday. The Bulldogs will square off against the Red Devils at 7:00  p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Liberty Christian has four straight  wins, Rustburg has seven straight  losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Liberty Christian is headed into the  contest after thoroughly thrashing Glass: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Bulldogs blew the Hilltoppers out of the water with  a  42-3 final score. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by 27  points or more this season.
Liberty Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Mason Gunn led the charge by rushing for 60 yards and one  TD on only six carries.
 They were just one part of a punishing run game: Liberty Christian was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 251  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 151  rushing yards in four consecutive  matchups.
 Liberty Christian didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut  Jacob Parziale.
Meanwhile, Rustburg scored the most  points they've had  this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They took  a  34-29 hit to the loss column at the hands of Liberty. The Red Devils gained 156 more yards on the day, but it was the Minutemen that made the best use of them.
 Liberty Christian will have to contain  Eric Pannell as he made an impact in Rustburg's last game. He rushed for 50 yards and one  touchdown, and also picked up 43 receiving yards and one  score.  Aiden Sax also deserves some recognition as  he  posted his first  receiving yards of the season.
 Rustburg's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Liberty Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
Friday's   contest might be decided in the trenches. Liberty Christian has been excellent on the ground this season,  having  averaged 176.4  rushing yards per game. It's a different story for Rustburg, though, as  they've been averaging  only 71.5  rushing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?
 Liberty Christian took their  win against Rustburg  when the teams last played  back in October of 2024 by a conclusive  28-7 score. In that  game, the Bulldogs amassed a halftime lead of  21-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat  on Friday.
