Meanwhile, Rogers faced South Kingstown in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. Rogers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 49-46 win over South Kingstown. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Vikings.

Rogers is also on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.0 points per game. As for East Providence, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
