Softball Recap: Riverview Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Riverview's offense. They came up short against the Durant Cougars on Tuesday, falling 7-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Sharks have suffered since March 26, 2025.

Camryn Demilio spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered six earned (and one unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up eight Ks.

Riverview has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season. As for Durant, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 14-6.

Looking ahead, Riverview will host Wharton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Sharks' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Durant, they are taking a road trip to square off against Gaither at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cougars' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cowboys have averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season.
