Baseball Recap: Green Mountain Has No Trouble Against Littleton

Green Mountain not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since May 9, 2024. Everything went their way against the Littleton Lions as they made off with a 12-5 victory. The win continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won six in a row.

Sam Desalvo looked comfortable as he tossed 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four).

On the hitting side, Green Mountain let DD Lopez and Levi Behm run wild. Lopez scored two runs while going 3-for-4, while Behm scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Those two runs gave Lopez a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Simon Lunsford, who scored two runs and stole a base.

Green Mountain's victory bumped their record up to 5-3-1. As for Littleton, they dropped their record down to 1-7 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Green Mountain didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-6 win against Pomona on the 10th. As for Littleton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, an 11-8 defeat against Conifer on the 10th.
