Basketball Recap: Southeast Raleigh Takes a Loss

Southeast Raleigh was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 70-63 to the Cleveland Rams. The Bulldogs were probably out for revenge after losing 68-65 to them when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Cleveland's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Rodney Poston, who posted 13 points in addition to seven assists and three steals. Another player making a difference was James Harris, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and four steals.

Southeast Raleigh's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Cleveland, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-2.

Southeast Raleigh wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 50-38 victory against Enloe on the 14th. As for Cleveland, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 39-37 win against South Garner on the 17th.
