Baseball Recap: Montbello Comes Up Short

Montbello was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 9-5 to the Denver East Angels.

Saul Renteria-Aguirre was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two RBI. Another player making a difference was Derek Alvidrez, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Montbello's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Denver East, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-7.

Looking ahead, Montbello will be playing at home against Skyline at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Denver East, they will head out on the road to square off against Pueblo Central at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
