Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for the Daniel Academy

The Daniel Academy had won two straight games and Noah Lee did his part to make it three on Tuesday. The Daniel Academy Lions narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Midland Adventist Academy Mustangs 35-33 thanks in part to Lee, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 15 points and four steals. He has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last seven times he's played.

Despite the loss, Midland Adventist Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Aiden Cowan went 5 for 11 en route to 13 points in addition to six boards and four steals. Jordan Owolabi was another key player, putting up five points along with four steals and three blocks.

The Daniel Academy pushed their record up to 5-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Midland Adventist Academy, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-5.

The Daniel Academy will square off against Guadalupe Centers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Midland Adventist Academy, they will challenge Frontier School of Excellence at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
