Basketball Recap: Jacob Siuta's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Legion Collegiate Academy over Ardrey Kell

Legion Collegiate Academy came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Ardrey Kell Knights an easy 73-50 victory. The Lancers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Knights from their previous meeting back in January.

Legion Collegiate Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jacob Siuta, who posted 12 points. Brian Jeudy was another key player, putting up nine points and five boards.

Ardrey Kell's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Donovin Jones, who scored 19 points in addition to six assists and three steals. Another player making a difference was Braden Suggs, who went 6-for-13 en route to 15 points.

Legion Collegiate Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Ardrey Kell, they pushed their record up to 7-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Legion Collegiate Academy and Ardrey Kell will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Lancers see the court they'll take on Conway at 5:00 p.m. on January 1, 2026. As for Ardrey Kell, their break will end when they face Parkwood at 7:30 p.m. on the 27th.
