Baseball Game Preview: North Sevier Wolves vs. Grand County Red Devils

For the second straight game, North Sevier will face off against Grand County. The Wolves will host the Red Devils at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. North Sevier is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.8 runs per game this season.

Having struggled with five losses in a row, North Sevier turned things around against Grand County on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Red Devils with a sharp 17-10 win. The game was the first time the Wolves have beaten the Red Devils on their field since March 13, 2021.

The team relied heavily on Parker Jensen, who went 5-for-6 with four runs, two triples, and five RBI. Those five hits gave him a new career-high. Zander Christiansen was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: North Sevier kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

North Sevier's victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 8-5. As for Grand County, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.
