Softball Recap: Fairfield Takes a Loss

Fairfield managed to slip by Harrisburg the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Mules lost 10-2 to the Bulldogs on Tuesday. The Mules were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2022.

Fairfield saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hunter Kirk, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Fairfield's defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Harrisburg, their victory bumped their record up to 16-6.

Fairfield has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Eldorado on the 6th. As for Harrisburg, they will head out to take on Johnston City at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Indians will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight.
