It's playoff time, and North Royalton had no trouble coming through when it counted. They never let the Rhodes Rams get on the board and left with a 16-0 win on Tuesday. The Bears' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Ben Baracz was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That triple was his first of the season.

In other batting news, Jackson Cavanaugh was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two doubles, and two RBI. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Julian Tavarez, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

North Royalton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

North Royalton is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Rhodes, they dropped their record down to 15-7 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.
