Basketball Recap: Lake Creek Takes a Loss

Lake Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 49-45 heartbreaker at the hands of the College Station Cougars. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 427th, while the Cougars are ranked 174th).

Lake Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for College Station, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-8.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Brenham the next time they take the court. Lake Creek will head out to face Brenham at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, while College Station will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on January 14th.
