Volleyball Recap: Open Door Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Open Door Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Damascus Christian Eagles. The Huskies were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Open Door Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Damascus Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Open Door Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Willamette Valley Christian on the 4th. As for Damascus Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against South Wasco County on the 4th.
