Baseball Game Preview: Earlville Red Raiders vs. Indian Creek Timberwolves

The Earlville Red Raiders will head out to challenge the Indian Creek Timberwolves at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Earlville came up short against Somonauk on Tuesday, falling 18-5. The Red Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lane Rohrer and Hayden Spoonmore did some serious damage despite the final result: Rohrer went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs, while Spoonmore went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one double. Those stolen bases were Rohrer's first of the season.

Meanwhile, Indian Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 12-2 to Ashton-Franklin Center.

Dylan Carey was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and one run.

Earlville's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Indian Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 0-16.

Earlville couldn't quite get it done against Indian Creek in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 as they fell 8-5. Can the Red Raiders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
