Softball Recap: Madera South Takes a Loss

After flying high against Roosevelt last Friday, Madera South came back down to earth. The Stallions lost 10-0 to the Minarets Mustangs on Monday. The Stallions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2015.

Madera South has also been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season. As for Minarets, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-7.

Coming up, Madera South will welcome Torres at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Toros have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.82 runs per game on average), something the Stallions will no doubt try to take advantage of. Minarets has already played their next match (against Yosemite), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
