Football Recap: Kyle Everett's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Central Mountain over Mount Carmel

Central Mountain played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 35-13 to the Mount Carmel RED TORNADOES. The Wildcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-0.

Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kyle Everett, who rushed for 89 yards on only 11 carries, and also threw for 127 yards on eight of 17 attempts. A healthy portion of Everett's aerial production (98 yards to be exact) went to Mario Serafini.

Mount Carmel's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jaylen Delaney, who rushed for 107 yards and one touchdown on only eight carries. Michael Kimsal was another key player, rushing for 71 yards and one TD on only seven carries.

Central Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Mount Carmel, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-4.

Coming up, Central Mountain is taking a road trip to face off against Troy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats will need to watch out since the Trojans have now posted at least 31 points in their last six contests. As for Mount Carmel, they will challenge Milton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the RED TORNADOES' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
