The home team had won the previous six meetings between Davidson and Foley, and Davidson kept the tradition alive. The Warriors took down the Lions 25-7 on Thursday.

Aundre King had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 112 yards and one score on only 13 carries. Those 112 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Mary G. Montgomery faced Baker in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Vikings lost to the Hornets at home by a 43-28 margin. The loss was the Vikings' first of the season.

Mary G. Montgomery's defeat dropped their record down to 8-1. As for Davidson, their win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-4.

Davidson couldn't quite get it done against Mary G. Montgomery in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 as they fell 24-14. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
