Westminster waltzed into their contest on Friday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They took down the Liberty Lions 49-34. Given the Owls' advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 26th, while the Lions are ranked 142nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Westminster pushed their record up to 15-2 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. As for Liberty, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12.

Coming up, Westminster will be playing at home against Mt. Hebron at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. We've got a battle between Lions coming up. Walkersville will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Liberty surely won't give up without a fight.
